DATA PROCESSING AND PURPOSES OF PROCESSING

At Metastore, accessible via www.metastore.eu, the privacy of our visitors is our top priority. This privacy policy outlines the various types of information collected by Metastore and explains how this data is used. Why data is collected

Metastore collects and processes the personal data of customers for customer and order management purposes (including customer administration, order/delivery follow-up, invoicing, creditworthiness checks, and sending marketing and personalized advertising).

Legal basis for processing

Personal data is processed based on Article 6.1. (a) consent, (b) (necessary for the performance of a contract), (c) (necessary to comply with a legal obligation), (f) (necessary for the legitimate interest of our business) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Insofar as the processing of personal data takes place based on Article 6.1. a) (consent), the customer has the right to withdraw the given consent at any time.

What measures are taken to secure collected personal data?

All data collection and management are carried out as securely as possible, including by always working in a secure network environment, taking regular backups, ensuring confidentiality, and obtaining explicit consent before data is shared with third parties. Sensitive data, such as medical data, national registry numbers, criminal records, religious beliefs, etc., are not processed under any circumstances.

How long is this data retained?

Personal data will always be retained for the period necessary to meet legal requirements (including in the field of accounting) or as long as the information is useful for the legitimate business interest.

 

DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES

Metastore only provides data to third parties when necessary for the performance of our agreement with our customers or to comply with a legal obligation. In such cases, the customer's personal data is shared with other companies within the European Economic Area directly or indirectly connected to Metastore or with another partner of Metastore. Metastore guarantees that these recipients will take the necessary technical and organizational measures to protect personal data.

RIGHT OF ACCESS, RECTIFICATION, ERASURE, RESTRICTION, OBJECTION, AND DATA PORTABILITY

The customer has the right to access their personal data at any time and to have them corrected or rectified if they are incorrect or incomplete, deleted, restricted, and objected to the processing of personal data related to them based on Article 6.1 (e) or (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the creation of profiles based on these provisions. Additionally, the customer has the right to obtain a copy (in a structured, standard, and machine-readable form) of their personal data and to transfer this personal data to another company.

To exercise the above rights, the customer is requested to:

  • Adjust the settings of their customer account (if possible)

The customer also has the right to object free of charge to the processing of their personal data for marketing purposes.

COMPLAINTS

The customer has the right to file a complaint with the Belgian Commission for the Protection of Privacy (35 Rue de la Presse, 1000 Brussels – commission@privacycommission.be).

USE OF ‘COOKIES’
